According to Doug Deaton, managing partner of Creekwood Equity Partners of Dallas, other companies in the niche haven't fared as well.

"We looked at a couple of roll-up and consulting firms that have been typically working in the Oracle database consulting space," Deaton said."But those guys have been flat with regards to sales, in spite of being around for three years.The consulting area is very relationship-oriented and (Lucidity) is atypical in its (sales) performance.The executives obviously bring strong contacts to the table."

Mr. Deaton is the managing partner of Creekwood Equity Partners, a firm specializing in financial advisory and intermediary services to firms with revenues in the $5 million to $50 million range.Mr. Deaton has broad transactional experience in the lower middle market, covering all facets of a transaction.His strength is leveraging his extensive network of contacts, connectors, and mentors, thoughout the Southwest, in creating new opportunities.Prior to joining Creekwood Equity Partners Mr. Deaton was responsible in starting several companies relating to the healthcare indusrty.He also worked for Nortel Networks and Briggs Capital, where he was Managing Director of the Dallas office.Mr. Deaton attended Jesuit College Prepatory High School in Dallas, Texas; and received a Bachelor of Administration in Marketing from Texas Tech University in 1993.
