    Don Deaton begins his second year as an assistant coach with the Briarcrest basketball program. Coach Deaton's arrival last year was a big key in the Saints winning their first state championship. Prior to coming to Briarcrest, Coach Deaton served as the head coach at Bartlett High School( 2 years) and at Munford High School (4years). Coach Deaton also brings college coaching experience to the Briarcrest staff due to his tenure at Delta State University. Coach Deaton has a Masters Degree in Physical Education from Delta State University as well as a Masters in Special Education from UT Martin.
