Darin L. Deaton graduated physical therapy school with Bachelor of Science degree in 1990 and a Master of Science degree in 1991 from the Texas Woman's University School of Physical Therapy.He received the Leadership Achievement Award in 1990 from the School of Physical Therapy . After receiving his physical therapy degrees, Darin pursued his professional career while working in outpatient physical therapy clinics with an emphasis towards orthopedics in all populations.
In 1991, Darin developed and opened Progressive Rehabilitation Orthopedics in Irving Texas and was the manager there from 1991 to 1993.In 1993, Darin began the development of his own private practice.He owned and operated North Texas Rehabiliation, Hurst Texas , until 1998 at which time he was acquisitioned.While working for the corporate practice for 5 years, Darin served as a Clinic Director, Clinical Operations Manager and District Manager.His last position within that organization saw him overseeing the operations of 30 outpatient clinics throughout Texas .
In March of 2003, Darin began the development of three new private practices and medical office real estate.At the present, Darin is a partner in Trophy Club Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab and Riata Therapy Specialists, PLLC.
Clinically, Darin has developed several CARF Accredited Industrial Programs, specialized in Industrial Rehabilitation Services and received his Certified Work Capacity Evaluator Certificate in 1992 and his Certified Associate Ergonomist.He has worked with employers such as Dr Pepper Bottling Co. of Texas, Sky Chefs Lufthansa, and United States Postal Service.His experience includes treating general orthopedic, amateur and professional athletes and industrial patient populations.He present interest include pursuing his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification, development of best practice treatment models, and developing outreach programs to local schools and civic organizations.
He has served on the Texas Physical Therapy Association Governmental Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Workers Comp Task Force for the GAC, Physical Therapist Representative to the Medical Advisory Committee for the Texas Workers Compensation Commission, and has lectured on several topics to continuing education groups and physical therapy programs within universities.
