   In 1993, Alex Deas founded Memory Corporation, which grew to a $400m capitalisation in 1995 with a technology that is still generating profits today. In early 1996, close to the peak of its success, Deas left Memory in a MBO to form Acuid Corporation.

   Alex Deas - Founder and Office of the President Alex is a prolific inventor who has successfully combined his technology and business skills for many years. Alex has twice won the prestigious John Logie Baird Award, as well as other major competitive business and technology awards.
   
   Today based in St Petersburg, Alex began his career at Harwell, Europe's largest research and development lab and successfully ran their microelectronics business. In 1989 Alex established Signal Resources and won several industry awards including the 1993 Ernie award at Comdex for Product of the Year.
   
   He founded Memory Corporation in 1993 which rapidly grew to a market capitalisation of $400m before the technology was sold to a Taiwanese interest. Alex led the management buy-out of Memory Corporation's design team and formed Acuid in 1996.
