   Rosa Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leader in drug development risk management, today announced that Bernadette DeArmond, MD, MPH, will serve as a Rosa clinical and business advisor.

   Dr DeArmond is a physician and consultant with extensive experience designing, conducting, and managing clinical studies. She has administered large development efforts, developed protocols and operating procedures, represented companies in FDA proceedings, and provided medical, regulatory, statistical, and data management advice to many biopharmaceutical and device firms. Dr DeArmond served as Senior Vice President of Medical and Regulatory Affairs for ICON Clinical Research, a multinational contract research organization, and she was a founder and President and of Pacific Research Associates, Inc. As Vice President of Medical Affairs for Syntex Laboratories and Program Director for Syntex Research, she had responsibility for registration studies of immunosuppressants, antivirals, and analgesics. Before working in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr DeArmond practiced pediatrics, family medicine, and public health.
