   For the last few years, Jon has worked in a number of roles with the National Council of Churches in Australia: as project worker for the Decade to Overcome Violence, and currently as the education officer for the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ecumenical Commission.
   
   Ordained in London, Jon studied theology at Cuddesdon, Oxford, and completed a PhD at Durham University. Since coming to Australia with his family - his wife, Penny Jones, who is the Anglican rector of Woy Woy, and two daughters, Sonia and Kathleen, who are commencing University - Jon has also served in the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle.
