For the past 18 months, Simon has been the manager of a 3600-sow piggery, where he puts his experience in animal husbandry, marketing and human resources to good use.Graduating with a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics degree from the University of New England, Simon joined QAF Meat Industries as a graduate trainee in 1996 and worked his way into management.

He is interested in quality assurance and critical issues facing the Australian pig industry at the moment, such as the impact of imported pig products, and increasing his participation and becoming more involved in rural industry policy.
