   Working for Hastings Borough Council as a tenant participation worker, he helped establish 1066 Housing Association and transferred to the Association in 1996, leading the team that won the TPAS Participation into Practice award in 1998. He has helped to establish a neighbourhood management pathfinder and the Local Strategic Partnership, and currently chairs the Hastings Housing Partnership and his children's secondary school Board of Governors.

   Robin Deane Robin Deane joined the tenant participation movement in 1991 and went on to become Regeneration Director for 1066 Housing Association. His successes include initiating the country's first residents services organisation. Robin is currently leading a neighbourhood team working within the 3% most deprived neighbourhoods of the UK.
