   Funeral Mass for Helen M. Deane , 92 , Logansport , was held at 11 a.m. today in Trinity Episcopal Church.
   
   She died at 11 : 55 a.m. Sunday , Oct. 21 , 2001 , in Chase Center.
   
   Born Jan. 22 , 1909 , in Logansport , she was the daughter of Ellis C. and Nellie O. Whipple Deane.
   
   In 1929 , she earned a registered nursing degree from St. Anthony's Hospital in Terre Haute. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in nursing education from Indiana University in Bloomington. For several years , she was on staff at Indiana State Teachers College in Terre Haute , where she was instrumental in starting the School of Nursing Education. She was also on the administrative staff of Marion County General Hospital. Much of her nursing career was spent in the field of nursing education.
   
   She was a life-long and faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
