August 1, 2007 , Robert J. Ciaruffoli, chairman and CEO of Parente Randolph, LLC has announced that Albert G. Deana has been named a new Principal in the Healthcare Business Services Practice in the Firm's Philadelphia office.

Employed with Ernst & Young LLP since 1984, Deana most recently held the position of assurance and advisory business services partner.In that position, he coordinated partner responsibilities for a number of multi-hospital systems, not-for-profit hospitals, long-term care providers and managed care organizations.He has extensive experience in accounting, auditing and financial reporting issues related to healthcare and life science organizations, health care bond offerings and refinancing, feasibility studies, joint ventures and acquisitions.
During his previous employment, Deana led his firm's resource planning management function, where he was responsible for the effective deployment and allocation of over 300 core assurance professionals in his office.He also coordinated internal training seminars for the firm's healthcare professionals.In addition to his work in the states, he has worked abroad for an array of audit clients.
Deana has been a frequent speaker at national and local healthcare and long-term care conferences, including Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountant (PICPA) healthcare conferences and American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) national meetings.
A Certified Public Accountant, Deana earned a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from Villanova University.An active member of the Philadelphia community, he has served on the PICPA Healthcare Committee and is currently the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) co-chair of the Philadelphia Chapter sponsorship Committee as well as a Chapter board member.He has also held a board position with Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN).Deana resides in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
