   Previously, Laurie was Director of Corporate Strategy at BellSouth Corp., where she held practice leadership in broadband data and e-commerce solutions.She provided strategy-consulting services, industry trend analysis, competitive assessments and Fortune 100 M&A due diligence to BellSouth's CEO and Officer team.Laurie also held operational responsibilities at BellSouth.net Inc. as Director of the Product Velocity Center, where she launched a project management and governance organization designed to accelerate product launches of all IP data products and services.
   
   Prior to joining BellSouth, Laurie held several positions in Aerodyne Research, Inc. - a leading edge engineering and development firm affiliated with Harvard and MIT.Laurie held roles in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Technology Commercialization, Account Management, Program Management and R&D.Her primary focus was new business development - opening new markets, growing sales to existing customers, and acquiring funding and developing partnerships for emerging technologies.Her product portfolio included remote sensing, surveillance, image processing, tracking and recognition systems and software for commercial and environmental applications and the national defense.
   
   Laurie is also the founder of Dirigo Associates, a Strategy and Business Development service organization providing leadership, strategic planning, merger and acquisition support, business concept and market opportunity assessments, and new product introduction guidance to technology-based companies, entrepreneurs and non-profits.
   
   Community Leadership
   
   Laurie is an active volunteer, serving on the Executive Committees of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta, MIT Club of Atlanta and the Atlanta Business School Alliance, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Cooperative Society (The Coop) and the MIT Club of Boston.She is also a proud supporter of the American Red Cross and Woodruff Arts Center.

   Laurie holds a SM (MBA) in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she received a two-year Corporate Fellowship.She also completed a BS in Physics and a BA in Sociology from St. Lawrence University.While at ARI, Laurie was an on-site government contractor and USAF Flight Qualified Crew Member holding a Top Secret Clearance.
