We would like to nominate Community Safety Manager, Karen Dean, for outstanding focus on customer needs. She is more than a frontline member of staff but an ambassador for Bromford Housing Group. Karen has worked for Bromford for seven years and is currently Community Safety Officer. Within this position, Karen deals with all aspects of the community, like home and personal security, safety, and anti-social behaviour. She works alongside Estate Managers, Team Leaders but also external groups such as Police, Social Services, Youth Offending Teams, Environmental Health, Schools and other Landlords. Karen is a trained mediator, a voluntary role, but uses this also in her day-to-day work. Significant evidence of Karen's outstanding work includes her help to the resident's of Exeter Street in Stafford. They won a national award for standing up to their nuisance neighbours after 2 years of loud late-night music, verbal abuse and trespass. Karen explains "all our customers have the right to enjoy their homes and communities and I hope the action taken by residents in Exeter Street will encourage other customers experiencing anti-social behaviour to do the same."
