John Dean has a degree in Microbiology and Microbial Technology from the University of Warwick and specialises in work relating to nuclear receptors, recombinant
DNA technology, plants, monoclonal antibodies and biomedical products.
John joined Withers & Rogers in 1985 and is a partner in our Bristol Office having been there since 1989. He handles patent work around the world for industrial and academic biotechnology clients, as well as for overseas firms of patent attorneys.
He is a Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney.
John is also a member of FICPI, serving on the Biotechnology committee of that organisation, and has lectured to clients and other patent attorneys on patenting issues in biotechnology.
His interests in academic clients is reflected in his involvement with University based Biotechnology exploitation platforms in the UK and membership of the Association for University Technology Managers (AUTM).
