Ian Dean
Ian Dean has been engaged in arts production and creation for 25 years in the UK, Europe and Canada. As a producer, composer and conductor he has worked with many great classical, crossover and popular music artists including New Zealand singer Hayley Westenra (CD Pure 2003), Mark Knopfler (RAH Music for Monserrat 1998), Paul McCartney (Tropic Island Hum 1999) and Sir George Martin.
He has recorded a wealth of contemporary classical orchestral music featuring the writing of Elizabeth Maconchy, Jean Coulthard, Nicola LeFanu, Germaine Tailleferre, Henri Tomasi, John Williams, Toshiro Mayuzumi and popular music, jazz and world music artists including Tania Maria, Pat Crumly, Kenny Barron, Courtney Pine, Alfredo Rodriguez, Bheki Mseleku and John Ottway.
As a composer Ian has worked on film scores for independent features including Dreamkeeper, Far from China, Revelation, Burned to Light, Hotel - work in progress includes Venetian Heat.Major music, film and live performance production and writing projects include Circle of Remembrance (Royal British Legion) at the Millennium Dome main arena, and the UK-wide Voices of Promise.
Ian Dean works as a consultant with Hazard Chase on a variety of audiomedia projects as producer, composer, arranger and conductor.
