   Her parents are John and Betsy Dean of Oakland.Her school honors include: Altrusa Student of the Year, National Honor Society President, Honors Diploma and Oregon's Top Ten Wendy's Heisman Finalist.She also participated in varsity volleyball, basketball and track.Her post-graduation plan is to attend either University of Oregon or University of Hawaii and to obtain a master's degree in psychology.

   Megan,who is in her fourth year with the Storm organization, has been playing fast pitch softball since 5th grade.She plays both third base and pitcher for the Storm, as well as for her high school team, the Falcons (Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Wheaton, MD.) She was an honorable mention selectee in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) in both 2001 and 2002 and was team captain for both the 2002 and 2003 seasons.She was named as the Washington Post's "Performer of the Week" (5/27/02) for her efforts in leading the Falcons to their first ever WCAC championship.For the Storm, Megan has played a strong defensive third base and performed well as the team's #2 pitcher the past three seasons.She led the Storm in RBIs two years ago and this past season, batted .285, leading the team in sacrifice hits and fielding, while compiling a 10-4 record at pitcher.
   
   Besides her softball accomplishments, Megan is an honor student at Good Counsel, maintaining a 3.93 GPA (weighted) with a curriculum consisting of International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement classes.She also is a member of the National Honor Society and plays soccer for both a club team as well as for the nationally ranked Falcons.
