   John brings 28 years of experience and leadership in computer systems development to his role as VP of Engineering and Operations. His background includes web services, digital media, search engines, embedded applications, operating systems, and hardware development. He joined DocuSign in January 2005, and is responsible for all activities in Development, Test, QA, and Operations.
   
   Prior to DocuSign, John was a founder of Singingfish.com, which created a novel digital media search engine for the web. As VP of Engineering, he built and led the team that created the world's best multimedia search engine, and the world's largest database of media links. Singingfish's technology is used by Microsoft, RealNetworks, and AOL for their streaming media properties and media players. It has since been acquired by AOL.
   
   Prior to Singingfish, he was Director of System Software for Equator Technologies, a fabless semiconductor startup that provided high-performance system-on-chip digital media processors. John's team developed the chips' real-time operating system, and various software subsystems and drivers.
   
   Prior to Equator Technologies, John worked for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) for 19 years in a number of engineering and management roles, in hardware and software organizations. John has also been a senior executive and/or founder of area startups, including Agnostic Media and Ejj Effect Software, and a development manager at Motorola.
   
   John holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington, and a Bachelors Degree Cum Laude from Boston University. He has authored six US patents. He resides in Seattle, WA, home to DocuSign.

   John DeRosa has over 25 years experience in the computer industry, and has spent the last eight of them developing digital media software. One of DeRosa's ventures was Singingfish.com, a successful streaming media search engine he founded in 1999, where he led the engineering team to create the world's largest searchable database of streams found the web. Prior to Singingfish, he was Director of System Software for Equator Technologies, where he was responsible for delivering major software components for Equator's MAP1000 Multimedia Processor for use in the video conferencing, digital imaging, and the PC/TV convergence market. Prior to that, DeRosa worked at Digital Equipment Corp. for 19 years in a variety of technical and management roles. His last position at DEC was Manager of the Windows NT Platforms Group, leading the group developing Windows NT for Digital's Alpha platforms.
