Brian DeLunas is in his second year at Mizzou after joining the Tigers in 2007 as a volunteer assistant coach.
Along with working with the Tigers' pitchers on the field, DeLunas helps direct the on and off campus baseball camps for Mizzou.
DeLunas came to Missouri after spending one season as an assistant coach at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis, where he served as pitching coach.
FPCC made its first appearance at the NJCAA World Series in five seasons and beat No. 1 ranked Mesa Community College in 2005 with DeLunas on staff.
The pitching staff for Forest Park had an ERA under 3.00 and allowed a total of two runs in the NJCAA Super Regionals.
Prior to his stint at FPCC, DeLunas served as a head coach for the Rawling Prospects, an organization that has had 16 pitchers drafted since 2000, including three first round picks, and has sent 84 players to Division I baseball programs.
He also served as the varsity pitching coach at Marquette High School in St. Louis, Mo. in 2005.
DeLunas attended Harris-Stowe University in 1993-94 and St. Louis Community College in 1994-95 before finishing his collegiate career at Missouri Baptist from 1996-98, earning all-conference honors in 1998.
He then played for the Valmeyer Lakers of the Monclaire League from 1999-2003.
