Adel Dawe is a Project Officer in the Centre for Diversity and Work Psychology.She is currently working on a European funded project investigating female access to SME finance in the northwest.Her previous project explored the impact of social exclusion on the progression of women into business ownership.In July she was invited to become a Director of a community transport social enterprise HHNDCT in her home town of Heywood.This is an exciting new community business run by the community for the community on a not for profit basis.Adel is a third year PhD student exploring finance accessibility and business ownership.She graduated from Bolton University in 1997 with a joint degree BA (Hons) in Urban and Cultural Studies: History.Previous employment has included being part time director and then company secretary for her partner's software business for 14 years.
