Group co-ordinator Laura Davis, whose eight-year-old son is dyslexic, said she wanted more parents to be made aware of the group.

Laura Davis, the Outer Banks Expedition Director, is a two-year veteran of Outer Banks Expeditions and a former mentor and CIT Coordinator at the Green River Preserve base camp.Laura has a master's degree in education from Texas Tech University and teaching endorsements in high school biology and special education.She is a life guard, a former Emergency Medical Technician, and an avid and experienced outdoors person with a special passion for training horses and dogs.When she is not looking after her one year old daughter, India, she enjoys painting, reading, and "piddling " with music.Laura and her husband, Bob, the legendary GRP story teller and Ortman look-alike, live on the coast near
