Kingston, Jamaica, July 24, 2007: Dr. Anita Davis-Dafoe President/CEO of The DeFoe Consulting Group, a Strategic Management, Educational, Research and Organization Development Consulting firm in the US is scheduled to give the opening presentation looking at the present state of the Caribbean Media.This presentation is expected to highlight current industry trends, challenges and opportunities that face Caribbean Media across the region and throughout the Caribbean Diaspora.The session will also detail the current state of Caribbean Media coupled with offering recommendations that could serve to further expand the sector.Dr. Anita Davis-Dafoe is a Management, Educational, Research, Organization Development and Training Consultant who has provided strategic planning, organization development, program development, program implementation, training and grant writing services to organizations in both the United States and the Caribbean.Currently, she serves as the Vice-President for Quality Assurance at WorkForce One in Lauderhill, Florida; and is the Florida Bureau Chief for the Caribbean Voice Newspaper (New York).She holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Organization and Human Resource Development, and is a nationally certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), a nationally certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP), and a national certified Career Development Facilitator Instructor.She has served as a Quality Management Examiner for the Florida Sterling Council for five years, and has taught Organization Behaviour, Principles of Systems, Leadership, Introduction to Management, Managing Change and Strategic Planning classes on the university level.
