McLean, VA | The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), an organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry, presented Adrienne Davis-Brody, president, ADB Marketing Communications, with the 2006 Al Bard Award.

Davis-Brody joins 17 outstanding individuals who have received this distinction.

Her involvement with the Adrian Awards began in 1980 when she was VP, associate director of marketing for Sheraton Hotels Worldwide.During this time, she attended conferences and entered the award competitions.She left the industry in 1989 and became re-involved five years ago.For the past four years, she has been the project manager for the HSMAI Adrian Awards.

For the past five years, Davis-Brody has been president of her own firm, ADB Marketing Communications.Some of her key clients are Nantucket Island Resorts, with six properties on Nantucket Island including the award-winning White Elephant and The Wauwinet, as well as Woodstock Inn & Resort and Langham Hotel, Boston.In addition, her firm most recently is working on such projects as the repositioning of au bon pain's suburban restaurant concept and the Starwood Worldwide incentive program.
Her previous experiences include: Vice President, Vacation Outlet, leading retail travel agency in New England and premier on-line provider of travel packages for Yahoo!, Travelocity, Expedia and AOL; Executive Vice President, Irma.S. Mann Strategic Marketing; Senior Vice President, WellsPark Group, formerly the largest independent shopping center development and management company in the U.S. prior to being sold to Simon Property Group; Vice President, Director of Marketing, Sheraton Hotels North America; and national advertising coordinator, Subaru of America.
