When her parents moved to the Trace in 1998 and Alana saw how instantly the Trace community embraced them, she decided then that she wanted Carolina Trace to become an important part of her life as well.Today, Alana devotes her energies to spreading the word to Baby Boomers that Carolina Trace is a special place for the next phase of their lives.

The parent of a jazz guitarist at the University of Miami School of Music, Alana continues that family music tradition as a participant in the Trace Players, a group of Trace musicians who put on an annual musical to raise money for non-profit organizations within the Sanford area.This is just one of the myriads of volunteer organizations to which Tracers contribute.
