Joann Davenport is a graduate of Perryville High School, Perryville, Arkansas.She received her Bachelor of Science in elementary education at the University of Central Arkansas, her Masters in Education from Harding University, and postgraduate work from the University of Central Arkansas.Mrs. Davenport began her elementary teaching career in Morrilton, Arkansas where she taught eight years.She then began teaching in the Greenwood School District where she taught elementary school before becoming an elementary counselor at North Main Intermediate.She has been with the Greenwood School District for twenty-one years.

Mrs. Davenport is married to Bruce Davenport, co-owner of Flood Janitorial in Fort Smith.
