    Aaron Davenport, MBA, is a retired Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa, and adjunct faculty member at William Penn University.In that capacity, he teaches courses in Information Systems, Management, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, Facilities Management, and Business Law.In addition, he has over 40 years of management, training, and teaching experience, in government, non-profits, and academia.As a small business owner he has acquired special expertise in setting up, financing and running a small business.

    He has conducted numerous workshops on small business financing, customer service, franchising, marketing and communication.He has 35+ years experience as an investigator, facilitator and trainer in the areas of race relations, human relations, diversity, equal opportunity and cross-cultural communication.Additionally, he has 15 years experience in human resource management.He has done consulting projects on behalf of companies in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the United States.He served 12 years as the Assistant Director of the Institute for Physical Research and Technology at Iowa State University.He was formerly a Federal Bank Agent and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the $120 million Iowa State University Community Credit Union (ISUCCU).He has overseas experience in Tanzania, South Korea, Japan, South Pacific, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, France, India, and Nepal.

    Aaron Davenport, assistant professor of business administration, will teach his last class during May term as he will retire this year after four years of teaching at Grand View.

    Davenport spearheaded a campaign that resulted in Martin Luther King, Jr. Day being observed at Grand View.

    When Davenport retires, he said has been consulting with the U.S. State Department and will be teaching teachers in Turkey and Nigeria howw to use technology in their teaching.

    "I'll be 65 in July," said Davenport.
