What differentiates Daou from its competitors?
Daou has spent over 18 years investing resources to develop true expertise in healthcare and its unique technological challenges. This expertise was born out of a realization that to offer real value, Daou couldn't simply specialize in one area of healthcare information technology management. That approach would put hospitals in the position of ringmaster, juggling multiple vendors, multiple solutions, and multiple disparate applications. All the while trying, somehow, to see the overall benefit of such a production.
Daou provides a comprehensive, interdisciplinary knowledge base.A knowledge base that understands all aspects and layers of healthcare IT infrastructure and the impact of each technology decision you make.Daou remains objective in our dealings with vendors. Our experts analyze technology architecture, systems design and application implementation on both strategic and tactical levels. We see the healthcare enterprise as a whole, not simply as individual parts.Big consulting firms typically send out several representatives to handle projects within their segmented areas of technology expertise. The left hand sometimes knows very little about what the right hand is doing. And, most of us realize that conceptualization alone doesn't run a business. With Daou, most issues can be addressed by one expert. An expert who sees the complete picture, from a strategic and tactical perspective, and makes decisions based on what will benefit the entire system, not just a particular application or scenario.
