    A recent misdirected e-mail, obtained by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, shows a Seattle lawyer, Terrence Danysh, was eager to help the councilman with his woes:

    "Hi Jim: I left a message on your private office number earlier today.Since we haven't had a chance to speak, and there's been plenty of news coverage, I thought I'd drop you a line as well.If you have any questions about the issues of refunds/payment and recusal, please feel free to call me ...I hope you are well."

    I called up Terrence.He told me to dial back next week.

    But I've got a deadline and ...

    "I have no comment at this time," said Terrence, a partner in the Seattle office of the Dorsey and Whitney firm.

    Terry advises clients on real estate development and financing, and land use and environmental law.He is experienced in guiding clients through all phases of the land use approval process, including planned unit development, rezones, conditional uses, design review, site plan review, master use permits, variances, temporary uses and code interpretations.Terry has extensive knowledge of the administrative and judicial processes affecting real estate development and ownership, and makes appearances before city and county councils, planning commissions, boards of adjustment, hearing officers and examiners, and state and federal courts.

    Terry has served as Chairperson of the Seattle Planning Commission, was a member of the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Seattle's Comprehensive Plan and a member of the Mayor's Project Management Team for the redevelopment of Piers 1 and 2. He also serves as a pro tem judge with the City of Seattle's Hearing Examiner.Terry is a member of the Washington State Bar Association.
