    W. W. "Dannie" Danuser, founder of Danuser Machine Works and one of Claremore's first industrialists, died Thursday, March 21, 2002.He was 91. Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church Kerr Memorial Chapel in Tulsa, under direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service.

    Dannie was often described as one of the most vocal boosters of Claremore industry. The fourth of five children, Dannie was born in Aux Vasses, Mo., the son of Kasper Berry and Christine Koch Danuser.

    Dannie served as a director of the Rogers County Bank, director of FIEI and was an elder and served as trustee of the First Presbyterian Church of Claremore.He was a member of the Claremore Chamber of Commerce and in 1965 received the Chamber's Outstanding Citizen Award for Community Service. Dannie was fascinated by moving parts his entire life which lead him to be an avid collector of steam engines and old cars.He bought a Stanley Steamer Engine Car in New York and drove it home.He built a scale model of a steam engine in his garage and often would put on demonstrations at State Fairs. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hallie; son, Richard Koch Danuser; his brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Lillian Hamilton Danuser; brother, Alfred Danuser; sisters, Flora Hayden and Leona Lanz, and niece Marcia Danuser Singman.
