   Andreas Danuser graduated as electrical engineer at the technical university in Zürich in 1987 (dipl. El Ing.ETH).He joined ABB Corporate Research, where he was working in the area of computer science, and where he was leading a multi-national research project.The related research work was the basis for the Ph.D. thesis supplied to the ETH Zürich in 1994.In 1992, Andreas joined Ascom Corporate Research in Bern, where he was responsible for research projects in the area of broadband communication (ATM).At Ascom Public Networks he was responsible for the business unit Ascom BroadNet, which has developed and marketed a number of ATM based broadband products.He was also responsible for a number of projects in conjunction with Ascom Timeplex, Ascom's US-based daughter company.During his work with Ascom, Andreas travelled extensivley, giving him the opportunity to build up a network of personal relations to specialists in the networking industry.In particular, he learned many 'secrets' behind the high-tech startup industry in California.In 1998, he founded his own startup company Inalp Networks.
