A few fans had been waiting since 7 a.m., said John Dankovich, ticket director for WSU Athletics.
By 11:30 a.m., the 28,000 tickets sold at $40 apiece, were gone.
"We limited it to two tickets per person and we still sold out in an hour and a half," Dankovich said.

"The hype is just so much bigger this year compared to years before, so the demand is way up there," he said. "The pre-season ranking has a lot to do with it. People are more excited about this year's team because of last year's team's performance."
The ticket sale was not widely publicized, though ticket sales show people were aware.
