Prior to joining Dodge, Dr. Danis worked at all levels in the New Jersey public school education system, including serving as the Assistant Superintendent of the Randolph Township School District, and as Principal of Clinton Public School.A past president of the Board of Trustees of the Principals' Center for the Garden State, he currently holds tenure as a charter member.As a Dodge Fellow, he was the subject of a PBS documentary on the principalship entitled "Quicksand and Banana Peels: A Year in the Life of Two Principals."For the past 10 years he has taught educational leadership at Seton Hall University, in South Orange, New Jersey.He also serves on the National Faculty for Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida, where he teaches Educational Leadership and Change to school leaders across the United States.
Ross served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Educational Mandate Commission, as a member of the Abbott School Facilities Taskforce, the Quality Teaching and Learning Taskforce, and as the chairperson for the review and revision of the arts and education component of the statewide Arts Plan,all in New Jersey.Most recently he served on the Education Policy Transition Team for current New Jersey Governor, John Corzine.Ross currently is a member of the Board of Trustees of the NJEA's Center for Teaching and Learning, the Educational Advisory Board for Liberty Science Center, the Community Advisory Board for New Jersey Network, and the Advisory Committee on Educational Leadership for William Paterson University.Ross earned a B.A. in social studies education from Trenton State College, Ewing, NJ; an M.A. in curriculum and instruction from Georgian Court College, Lakewood, NJ; and an Ed.D. in educational administration from Nova Southeastern University. -
