Rick Danis has been named Kirkland Lake's 1999 CJKL Citizen of the Year, in recognition of his selfless contributions to his community. Without being asked, Rick has organized several fundraising efforts to help local families facing medical emergencies, to contribute to the Christmas Wish Fund, and to assist local athletes competing in out-of-town tournaments. Rick extends credit to the support of the community, especially Fred and Sonia Lang, as well as the local media.
