Danilova said both sides had agreed on the need to discuss the unification of electric energy systems and had discussed electricity trade and reciprocal investment in this sector.
"The forum must focus on all aspects of energy cooperation, not only natural gas, where Russia and Germany have achieved serious progress," she said.
According to the official, the session considered issues of cooperation with Volkswagen, DaimlerChrysler, and Siemens in the sphere of railroad technologies.
"The participants in the session highly assessed the results of the Hanover Trade Fair, where Russia was presented as a partner country," Danilova said.
"About a hundred agreements were concluded during the fair within the framework of the Russian-German cooperation, which thereby gave a further impetus to the development of bilateral relations," she added.
According to German statistics, trade between Russia and Germany reached 31 billion euros last year, Danilova said.
"The high dynamics continued into this year," she added, "[as] trade reached 12 billion euros in January-April." -

BEIJING, June 18 (RIA Novosti) - A total of 116 Russian companies and organizations took part in the 16th international trade and economic fair in Harbin (Heilongjiang province, China's northeast), said Yelena Danilova, a representative of the Russian Economic Development and Trade Ministry.
Danilova, the director of the ministry's macroeconomic department, heads the Russian delegation at the Harbin fair (June 14-19).
Russia had the largest foreign delegation at the fair comprising 400 official participants, she said. Its exposition occupied 87 stands.
An official Russian delegation of the federal level attended the fair for the first time since 1992. "This is an important event reflecting the level of our trade and economic relations with China," Danilova said.
Samples and information on engineering and hi-tech products dominated the Russian stands, she added.
This trend was coordinated with the Chinese side beforehand in compliance with the annual plan of boosting engineering trade, the chief delegate said.
The Russian side published a catalogue of Russian engineering companies and products in Chinese especially for the Harbin fair. "Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref and Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai made a relevant decision in October 2004," Danilova said.

The Chinese side highly assessed the edition and pointed to its practical use, Danilova said.
