Deborah A. Daniloff. Deborah's practice focuses on products liability, commercial litigation and the management and trial of complex legal cases. She has defended numerous products liability/fraud cases throughout the country on behalf of Shell Oil Company. As lead trial counsel in a number of those cases, Deborah secured a string of successful jury verdicts. In the most recent of those cases, the jury reached a defense verdict after a four–month trial. Deborah then successfully defeated an appellate challenge to that verdict and secured a substantial cost award to Shell. Deborah also defends medical device manufacturers and distributors in individual and class action products liability claims. Her practice also extends to the defense of general tort and products liability claims involving the firm's wine industry clientele.
Deborah's practice also encompasses employment and business litigation. She has successfully resolved wrongful termination, employment discrimination and sexual harassment claims on behalf of a variety of clients. She has also represented companies and individuals in breach of contract actions against public entities, defamation and business interference claims. Her experience includes the defense and dismissal of California Business & Professions Code section 17200 claims.
Deborah graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine in 1986 with degrees in English and Economics, where she was honored as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 1989, she graduated magna cum laude from Hastings College of the Law. At Hastings, she was awarded membership in the Thurston Society and Order of the Coif and received the American Jurisprudence Award in trial advocacy.
In addition to her private practice, she is member of the Products Liability Committee of the American Bar Association and President of the San Francisco Women Lawyers' Alliance. She has volunteered her services to the Child Care Law Center, the Bar Association of San Francisco Volunteer Program and the Lawyers' Committee for Urban Affairs.
