   Sade is an important leader in the movement to reform the California foster care system. She is a leading spokesperson for foster youth, elevating the visibility of the issues facing this community to the front page of the media and the forefront of public discourse. Sade has helped shape public policy by leading research teams made up of foster youth to assess the conditions of group homes, as well as offer policy recommendations. Most importantly, she has been a mentor and inspiration to other foster youth, helping her peers find a voice and the power to become active players in the decision making processes that govern their lives. She is a student of Sojourner Truth Academy in Oakland. Sade is not the leader of tomorrow, she is the leader of today and her struggle will continue inspiring others every step of the way.
