A native North Carolinian, Renee Daniels was born and raised in Rocky Mount in eastern North Carolina.But don't dare call her a Tarheel.She's remains very close to her parents and two brothers who still reside in the Rocky Mount area and are involved in the home construction business.
Renee's first job after earning her BA in Business Management degree at NCSU in 1993 was as an outside sales representative for a company that provided furnishings for her current employer's apartments, Oakwood Corporate Housing, a business unit of Oakwood Worldwide.Oakwood hired her in 1995 initially as an account coordinator in a sales support role.Two years later Renee was promoted to an Account Executive with her territory covering most of the state and in 1999, she was promoted to Senior Account Manager.
Oakwood Worldwide is the world's largest corporate housing and multifamily property management firm.The company provides high-quality extended stay furnished accommodations throughout the United States, United Kingdom and Asia Pacific through its Oakwood Corporate Housing, Oakwood Premier, Oakwood Residence and Oakwood Apartment brands.
Renee has been recognized as a top performer at Oakwood for a number of years and was chosen to serve as a regional mentor for the firm's new sales people.She's also been chosen to receive the company's prestigious Cyberstar award and Sales Superstar Award.
To say Renee has a lot of hobbies is an understatement.Her first passion is anything to do with Wolfpack football and basketball especially tailgating on Saturday afternoons in the fall.She loves to travel and has done so extensively throughout the US for Oakwood.Her favorite local getaways are historic Charleston and the beaches at Topsail Island.Renee also enjoys reading, taking in the latest movie, cooking, watercolor painting and checking out the local flea markets.Above all, she enjoys spending time with her extended family.
Calling on travel managers throughout North Carolina, Renee's job at Oakwood Worldwide is to position Oakwood Corporate Housing as a cost-effective alternative to extended stay hotels for business travelers.
She has been president of the Piedmont Triad Relocation Council for the last two years and is currently a member of the Triangle Relocation Council, National Defense Travel Association, Raleigh Claims Association as well as the Society of Human Resource Management.Needless to say, Renee is a very busy lady.
Renee had the opportunity to attend last summer's NBTA convention in Orlando and was absolutely blown away by the various programs and speakers.In her four years in NCBTA she has particularly enjoyed the diversified programs and the many networking opportunities the association offers its members
