Daniels, 25, started The Computer Specialties six years ago.For the past year and a half he's run the business out of a professional office building at 106 Weir St.Last summer he relocated from a front space to a slightly larger one in the rear, the better to accommodate a growing pile of harddrives he's taken on to repair. The bulk of his work, however, is centered in the field of business management with small- to mid-sized companies, most of them located throughout New England."I'm like a systems manager for businesses that do not have their own IT departments," Daniels said."I figure out the best plan to get them up and running."The largest number of computers he said he's dealt with on any single assignment so far has been around 150.But no matter the size of the business they all share a common thread: the need for quick turnaround time."Obviously for them time is money," said Daniels. The Computer Specialists is essentially a one-man-show.Daniels employs a receptionist and two part-time job site assistants, but handles most of the major work solo. He's often able to custom-build a system via remote access of his trusty laptop. But there are times when there's no substitute for getting on a plane and traveling straight to the client. For the time being he limits himself to one week's travel out of every month."It's all I can handle," he said.Which is not to say he doesn't enjoy it.

Through a chance encounter with his business manager Daniels was introduced to Gotti, which led to his being hired to create a Web site devoted solely to the upcoming music release.

In spite of the growing number of celebrity contacts Daniels has kept his local roots intact. He takes time out of his schedule four nights a week to teach continuing education computer programming classes at B-P, his high school alma mater.Describing himself as being basically self-taught, he said he attended the New England Institute of Technology for 18 months, but eventually became bored. He then finished his advanced computer training online, first with the University of Arizona and then Buxton University - the latter from which he earned a Ph.D. in informational technical management.Daniels said he expects to get even busier as his name makes the rounds of computer systems circles."I don't sleep a lot anyway," he said.cwinokoor@tauntongazette.com
