   CLEVELAND, Oct. 31 /PRNewswire / -- Mark Daniels has been promoted to senior vice president, National Sales for National City Corporation's (NYSE : NCC) Retirement Plan Services' Professional PlanWorks product. Daniels is responsible for prospecting, marketing and selling our Professional PlanWorks service throughout our existing six-state markets as well as nationally.
   
   Daniels joined National City in 1991 as a trust new business development officer. He was promoted to assistant vice president in 1996 ant to vice president with Institutional Trust in 1998. Prior to joining National City, Daniels worked for Mellon Bank in the Private Asset Management Group and American Express Financial Advisors as a financial consultant, registered representative.
