By Ezra Daniels
...
Ezra Daniels is one lonely guy; talented and articulated, but lonely.
Or, at least, he used to be.
With this series, Daniels explored his past and laid out for all to see his thoughts, insecurities, and hopes.Within Issue #2, Daniels discusses his lack of confidence with women, his insecurities with manhood, and his isolation with life itself. It's obvious as you read this that he knows his faults and knows what needs to be done to fix them, which is a lot more that most people in his position know.In Issue #3, Daniels delves into his childhood and explores the problems he faced growing up as half White and half Black.Again, he lays it all out for everyone to see, making no excuses along the way.
For someone as insecure and with such low self-esteem as he, Daniels is one of the bravest people I know, and I haven't even met him.Anyone who can explore, discuss, and even resolve their inner demons such as he does has to be brave, even if he doesn't know it himself.
Then there's his talent.Daniels has a beautifully raw but clean style, reminiscent to Dan Haspiel.
...
Then, with his 3rd issue, Daniels placed it on a mini CD, which was presented in a clean, simple and stylish design.
I can't recommend this series enough. This series actually helped Daniels break out of his own self-conscious world.
