Emily Gilliland Project Specialist
Ms. Gilliland has extensive experience in building and managing national service and volunteer initiatives at the local, state and national levels. As Project Specialist, Emily works on may diverse projects, but is primarily responsible for advancing the AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps*VISTA Program Design, Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation for Accountability Initiative. In addition, she was Campaign Consultation's lead content developer for the White House's USA FreedomCorps website. Prior to joining Campaign Consultation, Emily was Director of Program Development at Volunteer Central, Baltimore's volunteer center. She is also a proud two-year alumnae of Volunteer Maryland!...a state-wide AmeriCorps program in Maryland, which trains AmeriCorps members to become volunteer coordinators in diverse organizations. Emily currently serves on the Maryland Governor's Commission on Service and Volunteerism and the Board of Directors of the Maryland Council of Directors of Volunteer Services.
Throughout her professional career, Ms. Gilliland has worked with thousands of volunteers and community based organizations toward the goal of building stronger communities through volunteer power. Currently, Emily is pursuing a Master's of Business Administration in the Loyola College Executive Fellows program. She has a BA in Philosophy from Indiana University and a Master's in Liberal Arts from St. John's College in Annapolis.
