   Derek M. Daniels is a founding shareholder of McCumber Daniels and practices from the firm's Tampa and Philadelphia area offices. He has practiced in the areas of hospital, medical malpractice and nursing home defense litigation since 1998. He presently serves as the firm's managing shareholder.
   
   A graduate of the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with High Honors in 1992, Mr. Daniels earned his Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1995.
   
   Mr. Daniels is a frequent presenter at various industry conferences and recently spoke on "Current Trends in Litigation and How to Minimize Risk" at the 2003 Florida Association of Homes for the Aging 40th Annual Convention. He also conducts seminars on various aspects of medical negligence and nursing home litigation for professional education services. Additionally Mr. Daniels was named by Florida Trend Magazine as a 2006 Legal Elite.
   
   Mr. Daniels first practiced law at Solomon & Ginsberg, P.A. Prior to founding McCumber Daniels, Mr. Daniels was a partner at Quintairos, McCumber, Prieto & Wood, P.A. He is currently licensed to practice in Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
