He has also been active with several professional organizations, including the International Association of Black Professional Firefighters; the Firebird Society of New Haven, Inc.; the Elm City Firefighters; the International Association of Firefighters, Local 825; and the New England Association of Fire Chiefs. He is a deacon with the Rehoboth Church of God in Christ. -

NEW HAVEN -- The City of New Haven and Columbus House have opened a new 75 bed emergency shelter at 232 Cedar Street , Mayor John DeStefano , Jr. announced today.
