  Co-chairing the campaign is Porter Daniel, president of Central State Distribution."Linking You to the World is a one-time fund drive to advance and keep up the technological abilities of the library," Daniel said."Today (Tuesday), we begin the public portion of the campaign."The endowment fund has already received private and corporate donations of more than $139,000.Campaign pledges can be made over a three-year period, which the donor can choose to begin either this year or the next, Daniel explained.The endowment fund was started because of the age of current equipment, the speed of technological change and the growth in usage of equipment. "Computers are being used to find information, do research, and often there is a waiting list to use the equipment we have," Daniel said.
