Fort Worth Lawyer Mark G. Daniel, of Evans, Gandy, Daniel & Moore, was 2006-2007 president of the Tarrant County Bar and practices pro bono work.Daniel helped organize the county bar's Pro Bono Challenge, a program that encourages area lawyers and bar members to do a set amount of pro bono work per year.
"I had been inspired for a couple years to challenge members to donate or devote 10 hours per year to pro bono work," Daniel said.

People with low-incomes are often the target of various kinds of abuse, and as a result, end up in situations where they need but can't get representation, Daniel said.
"We never had a shortage of disadvantaged in society," Daniel said.
