   Dr. Josef Daniel-Ivad, VP of Technology Development of BTI said, "While our R&D efforts have resulted in continuing enhancement of RAM(TM) cell performance over the years in order to stay competitive with improved primary alkaline cells, these latest results for new Marathon RAM(TM) cell formulations are, in our view, extremely exciting as they will provide increased consumer satisfaction with RAM(TM) and will also provide a low cost alternative to NiMH rechargeables in many applications". He further commented: "These new patented formulations are expected to be delivered to BTI's existing licensees, so that they may quickly take advantage of these enhanced characteristics and incorporate them into their product offerings."
   
   In addition, the company is pleased to announce that a Research Report on the company has been issued by General Research GmbH of Munich, Germany. The twenty seven page research report concludes that BTI's current market capitalization does not reflect the true potential of the company's RAM(TM) technology and further states that it considers BTI's strong patent portfolio consisting of 43 patents, ongoing royalties and a distribution company in Sweden (BTS) to be significant assets and that the current share price constitutes an extraordinary investment opportunity.
