Raised in Oklahoma, Weldon graduated from Woodward High School in 1966.He married Leslie Joyce of Gainesville on May 31, 1969 while attending Texas Christian University where he graduated in August 1970.Weldon also completed a Master's Degree in Public Administration from North Texas State University in 1978. Weldon served as City Clerk/City Treasurer for the City of DeQueen, Arkansas in 1974-1975 before moving to Dallas where he worked for the City of Dallas for 30 years.As Vice President of Foundation Development Consultants, Inc., Weldon was instrumental in helping numerous school districts establish successful education foundations.Prior to his death, Weldon also worked for Threshold Land Services as a landman.Weldon's strength and determination during his life has served as inspiration to his family, friends and doctors.His wit and sense of humor despite years of medical treatments and overwhelming odds was a constant source of strength for those who loved him most.
