Daley has directed Cameron Boys Camp since 1989 and been involved in the camp for 32 years.

Daley says families are often dysfunctional and relationships are weak.

"I think we're seeing more of the kinds of problems where children have to leave home," he says.

The boys learn living-in-the-outdoors skills, how to take care of themselves and spiritual values, Daley says.

"Many boys come with low self-esteem," he says."You can see changes take place when they learn skills.They're known for something - this boy does ‘this' well, another boy does ‘that' well.Not every boy is going to be a rocket scientist, but you may find a good bricklayer.A boy could learn that trade and develop a business."

Daley says his staff tries to make camp "fun."

"I think children, today, don't know how to have fun in the right kind of way," he says."They haven't had fun with their parents, haven't had fun with their peers in the right kind of way."

He says each person needs to look for a spiritual base in life - something to live life by.

"With us, we've found Jesus is the answer to that - he'll give you a spiritual base," Daley says.
