Andrea L. D'Ambra joined Drinker Biddle's Commercial Litigation Practice Group as an associate following a one-year clerkship with the Honorable Ronald L. Buckwalter of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Andrea specializes in representing corporate clients in complex civil litigation with an emphasis on protecting intellectual property rights.

Election Law. During the 2006 mid-term elections, Andrea served as one of the lead campaign counsel to now Congressman Joseph A. Sestak, Jr. In addition to coordinating the deployment of over 100 attorneys to ensure fair and free elections, Andrea provided critical analysis and advice to the Sestak for Congress campaign on a variety of state and federal election law issues.

Andrea graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD in 1993, and served for over seven years as an officer in the United States Navy. Her diverse Naval experience includes serving as an action officer for high profile investigations within the Bureau of Naval Personnel and managing the administrative and legal issues of the Navy's computer network defense command.  In 2000, she left the Navy to attend William & Mary School of Law where she served as a member of both the William & Mary Law Review and the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal.
Andrea was also one of two students selected for a highly competitive two-year Legal Skills Program teaching assistantship.
At graduation, the law school students and faculty awarded her 2003 George Wythe Prize.
Andrea is a member of the Federal Bar Association and both the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations.
