Andrea L. D'Ambra

Andrea D'Ambra, another litigation associate, won a "White Hat Award" in 2006 from Philadelphia's Legal Clinic for the Disabled, for her emergency assistance to a woman with cancer in arranging standby guardianships for her children before her death.

Andrea L. D'Ambra is an associate in the firm's Litigation Group.She joined the firm following a clerkship with the Honorable Ronald L. Buckwalter of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Prior to attending Law School, Andrea served for over seven years as an officer in the United States Navy.Her diverse Naval experience includes serving as an action officer for high profile investigations within the Bureau of Naval Personnel, working as a medical recruiter in the Pacific Northwest, and managing the administrative and legal issues of the Navy's computer network defense command in Norfolk, Virginia.

Andrea earned her B.S. in 1993 from the United Stated Naval Academy and her J.D. from William and Mary School of Law in 2003.While in law school, she was a member of both the William and Mary Law Review and the Bill of Rights Journal, and served on the Board of the William and Mary Trial Team.Andrea received William and Mary Law's 2003 George Wythe Prize, the 2003 Virginia Trial Lawyer's Award and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers.

Andrea is admitted to the Virginia and Pennsylvania bars.

Andrea L. D'Ambra joined Drinker Biddle's Commercial Litigation Practice Group as an associate following a one-year clerkship with the Honorable Ronald L. Buckwalter of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Andrea specializes in representing corporate clients in complex civil litigation with an emphasis on protecting intellectual property rights.

Sestak, Jr. In addition to coordinating the deployment of over 100 attorneys to ensure fair and free elections, Andrea provided critical analysis and advice to the Sestak for Congress campaign on a variety of state and federal election law issues.

Andrea graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD in 1993, and served for over seven years as an officer in the United States Navy. Her diverse Naval experience includes serving as an action officer for high profile investigations within the Bureau of Naval Personnel and managing the administrative and legal issues of the Navy's computer network defense command.  In 2000, she left the Navy to attend William & Mary School of Law where she served as a member of both the William & Mary Law Review and the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal. Andrea was also one of two students selected for a highly competitive two-year Legal Skills Program teaching assistantship. At graduation, the law school students and faculty awarded her 2003 George Wythe Prize.

Andrea is a member of the Federal Bar Association and both the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations.
