"We're committed to not only providing quality articles and online data, but also accurate and complete search tools for our visitors," commented Illya D'Addezio, owner of Genealogy Today."In addition to the expected results, this new engine will toss in some interesting alternatives that the researcher may not have considered."
Included in the Smart Search results are matches found in the Genealogy Knowledgebase, a database of over 5,000 terms from such helpful resources as genealogical abbreviations, old disease names and legal terms, old occupations, surname meanings, acronyms of the U.S. government, and even abbreviations used by the U.S. Post Office.
"We've also designed this new engine to learn from the researchers' experience," added Illya.
