JAMCRACKER HIRES CHET CURTIS AS AREA VICE PRESIDENT

Former VP of ATM Systems-Packetcom Brings 33 Years Experience in Technical Sales, Marketing and Management to Drive Jamcracker's Efforts in Northern California and Nevada

Sunnyvale, Calif., August 16, 2000 - Jamcracker, Inc., the complete web-based workspace for IT and business applications, services and support, today announced it has hired Chet Curtis as area vice president.In this role, Curtis directs the Company's sales efforts and oversees systems engineering and training services throughout Northern California and Nevada.He reports directly to Frank Tolve, Jamcracker's vice president of sales.

Jamcracker, founded by Exodus Communications founder K. B. Chandrasekhar, was recently named to Red Herring's list of 100 Most Important Companies and to Fortune's list of Cool Companies 2000.

In addition to his sales, systems and training responsibilities, Curtis oversees the Company's newly opened Nevada sales office which is staffed with sales and technical professionals who help support the Company's client and partner relationships in the state.

About Chet Curtis

Curtis has had a highly successful 33-year career in technical sales, marketing and management in the Nevada and California markets.Prior to joining Jamcracker, he served as vice president, worldwide sales and marketing for ATM Systems-Packetcom, Inc.There, he built a worldwide sales and marketing team, developed a channels strategy and directed product marketing and systems engineering functions.Prior to that, as president and chief executive officer of Sierra Management International, Curtis developed supply chain and implementation plans that helped clients capitalize on the convergence of data, voice and video networks.

Curtis has also served as area manager for Digital Equipment Corporation, general manager and director of western operations for Datapoint Corporation, national sales manager for Transamerica Computer Company and vice president for Anker Data Systems.He began his career in sales with National Cash Register Co. (NCR), and holds a bachelor of science from the University of San Francisco, where he graduated with honors.
