Mariama Curry

Mariama Curry is the artistic director of Kulu Childrens Traditional African Dance Company and NKafu Traditional African Dance Company.She has performed and choreographed for television, videos, documentaries, stage plays and film.She has toured throughout the United States.Mariama is the recipient of an NAACP outstanding achievement award.Her classes focus on developing students minds for dance to help build strong character and achieve physical balance.

Dance and fitness professionals Greer Goff Mendy of the Tekrema Center, Janet Andrews Rhythm Tap specialist and NORD/Ballet Association Tap teacher and Mariama Curry, founder and artistic director of the NKafu and the Culu Children African Dance Company will conduct each conduct a demonstration of their dance styles and answer questions from the audience, participation is encouraged.
